How to learn vocabulary by reading

Words stick better when you meet them in real stories—not isolated lists. Here is how this glossary is organized and how to use it.

  1. Words are divided into groups Each group contains about 100 words, so you can focus on a manageable set at a time.
  2. Every group has multiple story documents Stories naturally incorporate the group’s words. Each word appears multiple times across the texts, so you keep meeting it in different situations.
  3. Stories come with text, images, and audio Read along, look at the illustrations, and listen—the same vocabulary is reinforced through multiple senses.
  4. Just read and listen You do not need to drill flashcards. Sit with the story: read it, play the audio, and follow along.
  5. Don’t know a word? Use any translation tool Tap or look up the meaning when you need it, then continue reading. Understanding in context is enough.
  6. Repetition makes memory spontaneous Once you have read or listened enough times, new words are remembered naturally—without forced memorization.

Choose a glossary below, open a group, and start with any story. Read it. Listen to it. Come back later and read it again.
